At Product Release, we provide innovative solutions to meet our customers’ issues. When recently approached by a leading manufacturer and supplier of ceramic components with a particular problem, we set to finding the ideal coating for the job.

The client was having an issue with one of their ceramic fixtures being subjected to harsh chemicals which were attacking and degrading the substrate over time.

The fixture had not previously been coated with anything to provide chemical resistance so they were uncertain whether a coating would provide the level of protection needed. To prove the properties of our coatings, we arranged to complete a trial run for the customer to assess the coating performance.

To prepare the item for coating, we degreased the surface before grit blasting.

We applied our PR235W HB 5 Coat System by spray application. PR235W was ideal for the project as it provides enhanced chemical resistance capabilities.

Once coating application was complete, the fixture was returned to the client to test the chemical resistance with great success. They were very happy with the coating performance and the quick turnaround we delivered. As a result, they have had an additional fixture coated and are achieving more on their production line.
