Food Contact Equipment

Over time coatings can deteriorate resulting in production issues, delays and potential food contamination risk.

At Product Release, we believe in sustainability and have developed a process for restoring used equipment and machinery to extend its lifetime and enhance its performance.  

The process: 

  1. Items are inspected for the suitability for refurbishment. 
  2. The old coating and food residue is carbonised in a pyrolysis process.
  3. The residue is removed, and the substrate is prepared by a grit blast process to provide a key for the new coating. Any required repairs are carried out. 
  4. The new PR SYSTEM™ coating is applied and cured as specified. 
  5. The items are thoroughly quality inspected, before being packaged and dispatched back to the customer.  

Service Levels

  • For volume items, turnaround is typically 2-3 weeks, however with sufficient notice this can be reduced.
  • For small quantities or one-offs, we can turn around items in as little as 24 hours.
  • Certificates of conformity can be supplied.

Coatings

  • To complement our manufacturing ability we can apply one of our PR SYSTEM™ Coating to give the best possible release properties for the product you are baking.
  • Our coatings are all on the FDA positive list for use in food contact applications, Regulation 21 CFR 177.1550 and 21 CFR 177.2440. They also comply with “the materials and articles intended to come into contact with food regulations (EC 1935/2004)”
