Refurbishment/Recoating

In an ideal world bakery production lines would function perfectly and coatings would last forever, however as we all know items can get damaged with “jam-ups” on the production line and release coatings have a definitive life span, before the reject rates on product becomes untenable.

At product release we believe in sustainability and to that end have developed a process for restoring used bakeware to as close to new condition as possible.

The process:

1. items are inspected for the suitability for refurbishment
2. the old/coating and food residue is carbonised in a pyrolysis process
3. the residue is removed, and the substrate prepared by a grit blast process to provide a key for the new coating
4. any repairs are carried out (welding, straightening, reblocking)
5. the new PR system™ coating is applied and cured as specified
6. the items are thoroughly inspected, before being packaged and dispatched back to the customer
