At Product Release, over the years we’ve formed many successful client relationships that have stood the test of time.
And our most recent one, we’re particularly proud of as it will allow us to deliver another layer of service to our current and future customers.
In this case, predominantly in the automotive industry.
Let me explain…
We have recently partnered with PPG Industries and become one of their official applicators for their LineGuard Coating Series.
Which, as a service, we’re now offering this service in the UK, Turkey, and China.
Who Are PPG Industries?
PPG Industries has been around for over a century and a half! But in the earlier decades, they focused solely on glass manufacturing. However, it was only in the 1960s that they got into the industrial coating business.
In fact, you may even say they pioneered the anti-rust campaign for car manufacturers by commercializing their electrodeposition coating process.
Fast forward to the now, where PPG is expanding its footprint in the automotive coating business by working with us at Product Release their new and efficient product line, the LineGuard Series.
The LineGuard Series
So, what is the LineGuard Series all about?
Well, if you’re a car manufacturer and are looking for a one-stop solution for your automotive paint shop coating needs, this is it.
LineGuard solutions are non-stick coatings that can be both insulative as well as conductive depending on the requirements.
The primary job of these coatings is to keep all forms of chemicals, grease, liquids, and debris from sticking to the paint shop equipment.
Not all of LineGuard’s solutions are alike, though. Depending on where you’d like to use it, a suitable solution can be readily provided.
For example, topcoat carriers, paint booth racks, and any equipment that are exposed to high-temperature ovens need low friction coatings. And so, LineGuard provides a solution made of water-resistant composites such as fluoropolymers and binder resins.
Then there are electro-coat hangers that require a slightly different solution with high insulation. And LineGuard is ready with its solvent-free epoxy coating solution for such a requirement.
Benefits of the Coatings
Now, let’s talk about the benefits of the LineGuard coatings. Here are the most important ones.
Reduction of Downtime
If you go by traditional methods of cleaning the automotive paint shop equipment, you’d have to stop the line for some time, clean the shop, and start it back up. Every minute of downtime on the floor costs a lot of money to the car manufacturer.
But with LineGuard coatings, cleaning time is dramatically reduced as there is less build-up on the surface of the equipment. And of course, less downtime means more production and more profit.
LineGuard solutions not only drastically save the cleaning time but also reduce injury risks for workers as there is less interaction with the equipment overall.
With less dirt and grime to remove from the surfaces of the equipment, the use of water significantly reduces. And what’s a better way to do your bit for the environment than save water, right?
As cleaning becomes extremely easy, the need for using harsh chemicals to remove deposits diminishes. Less expensive cleaning agents amount to huge cost savings.
Lower deposits also mean dirt-related defects significantly reduce in the final product. And lesser defects lead to lesser waste and recalls.
Overall, the entire process turns out to be profitable for the company.
Painting Cars the Easy Way
No one can take away the glitz and the glamor from a freshly painted car. And this can be now be done with less effort, time, and cost thanks to the non-stick coating solutions from PPG.
Using the LineGuard solution on your automobile manufacturing floor can make your production smoother, maintenance easier, and can lower the use of natural resources.
And all of this happens while you rake in significant cost savings.
