Where Would We Be Without The Dairy Industry?
In the UK, (for most of us), its a vital ingredient for a proper cup of tea. While in Europe, a continental breakfast without cheese…well, isn’t a continental breakfast is it…
In fact, no matter where you live in the world, its a staple part of people’s diets.
To prove it, you just have to look at the statistics.
In 2014 alone, the Global Dairy Industry clocked a turnover worth 335.8 billion USD.
And if you take into account the Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 5 percent, the industry is expected to generate revenues worth a staggering 442.32 billion USD in 2019.
And as expected, Telfon and Non-Stick Coatings also play their part in making those huge numbers happen.
Where they really come into their own are in Cheesemaking. Like most Non-Stick Coatings, they’re specific for the task and the duties they are expected to perform.
For example, the industrial molds that give each type of cheese their particular shape are most definitely going to have a coating applied.
Which does two things:
- Firstly, when the cheese is released from its mold, the non-stick coating will reduce any adhesion as it is opened or removed from the casing.
- Secondly, the non-stick coating will eliminate any problematic build-up of dried cheese crust, allowing the molds to be cleaned more quickly and easily before being used again.
That’s not all…
Later on, in the cheese-making process, these coatings again make another appearance.
The pans which the cheese rests on or any other equipment that the cheese comes in contact with will also have its non-stick layer, which allows for an easier clean down and less wastage of product.
Using a non-stick coating in the dairy industry makes the enterprise more profitable with less waste. With quicker and more efficient releasing, you will save time, allowing more products to be produced and therefore making more profits till the cows come home…
