Bakers Take Up The Strain Amidst The Coronavirus

No matter what your stance is on the Coronavirus, things have become severe globally in the last seven days…

Restaurants & cafes are shut for business, curfews have been introduced, and airports and borders have been completely shut down in the hope to stop this virus in its tracks.

Restaurants & cafes are shut for business, curfews have been introduced…

Now, although some industries have now screeched to a halt, there’s a few that have stepped up the rate of manufacturing to cope with recent panic buying that’s taken ahold in some countries.

Essential items in supermarkets cannot hit the shelves fast enough as homeowners stock up for the uncertainty ahead not wishing for themselves or their families to go without.

The good news in the food sector is that the production HAS been stepped up to meet this growing need.

One Industry, In Particular, Is The Baking Industry

At Product Release, we have strong, established relationships with some of the most well-known bakeries and food companies in the UK and beyond such as Warburtons, Allied Bakeries, Birdseye, Greencore, Bright Blue Foods, and Newly Weds Foods.

But let’s take the time to recognize smaller bakeries too, who, although haven’t got the extensive facilities that our more prominent clients have they still have just as much passion at getting out a quality product to their loyal customers during this trying time.

Let’s take the time to recognize smaller bakeries…

CoronaVirus Heroes…

In the last few days, there have been thoughtful gestures of free loaves of bread to NHS staff, priority free delivery to the over 65’s, and longer opening hours to help cope with the demand.

For more on these inspiring actions, have a look at the article ‘How are bakers coping with the coronavirus pandemic?’ at bakeryinfo.co.uk.
We would like to end with this though…

Here at Product Release, we wish all the best to both our clients and the general public and hope that the situation will be over sooner rather than later so we can all get back to normality.

If you would like to know more about how Product Release could help your industry, please don’t hesitate to contact one of our experts, who can discuss your problem and recommend an innovative solution that will not only help you now but will minimise future damage or repairs, giving you peace of mind.
