When approached by a bespoke furnace manufacturer with a challenge that required both chemical and heat resistance, we knew we could help.

The client needed just the interior of a set of dry pump silencer tubes coating that would be resistant to “aggressive acids” at temperatures of 150°C. The stainless steel tubes were 400mm long with a 100mm diameter.

As these were newly manufactured parts, the substrate was ready for coating with our PR235HB 5 Coat System.

This particular coating was selected as it provides excellent chemical resistance properties as well as being able to withstand high temperatures for an extended period of time.

Following coating application, we delivered the tubes back to the customer within a quick turnaround time, much to the satisfaction of the client.
