Recently we were approached by a leading UK cake and hot dessert manufacturer who required a suitable coating for their decorative cutting components.   

The roller to be coated was an intricate leaf shaped design used for cutting decorations for their cakes. The coating needed to be hard wearing to withstand the busy production requirements whilst also providing higher non stick properties to resist the increased sugar content used in the customer’s recipes.   

Based on these requirements, our PR245, a two coat release coating system was selected as it is specifically formulated for greater resistance to high sugar recipes. 

The roller was prepared initially by pyrolysis oven, which is a high heat process that breaks down any residues present on the surface, before being shot blasted ready for spray application of the selected two coat system. 

The full process was completed within 60 hours to a high standard of finish. The customer was impressed with the speed of the process and the overall coating performance and finish.
