Malt-easy peasy!

When approached by Mars with an urgent need to find a new coating solution for their Malteser production components, we were more than happy to help keep the tasty treats rolling along! 

As the previous company they had been using was no longer providing the refurbishment service required, Mars contacted us when the existing coating had begun to wear away and was beginning to affect production.  

Initially, they requested a trial run of a few units to ensure our coating would provide the performance needed. They required a non-stick coating that would also offer high wear resistance. 

We began the refurbishment process by removing the existing coating from the components in our pyrolysis oven, this also breakdowns any food residues left from production. Each unit was then shot blasted before spray application was completed using our PR110HC Black 2 Coat System.  

This was the ideal coating for the job as it not only provides release properties but an excellent level of wear resistance to withstand the rigorous production process at Mars.  

The refurbished components were returned to the client for a trial run on production. We are confident that the coating will not only meet the required performance, but also exceed the customers’ expectations and prolong the lifespan of the parts.
