A case such as this occurred with one of our clients, a confectionary manufacturer, when they contacted us to refurbish their marshmallow moulds.

We had previously worked on the exact same moulds over 5 years ago and only now did they need to come back for recoating. This long period reflects how both our process and use of high-quality materials will maintain the moulds year after year, even after continuous use.

As we had completed this project before we knew exactly what to do.

The moulds were first put through our pyrolysis oven process to remove the old coating along with any sugar residues left behind from the production process. They were then shot blasted in preparation for spray application of our PR620HB 5 Coat Release Coating System. This particular coating system was selected as marshmallows have an extremely high sugar content resulting in a very sticky production process. Our PR620HB provides superior release capabilities as well as durability.
