Silicone elastomer coatings are formulated from reactive, straight chained molecules. Agent and mineral fillers are added to impart the desired properties (release, tear strength, and elasticity)
Product Release Europe has been working with high performance silicone elastomer compounds for release coating applications since 1967. This knowledge of using different technologies gained from years of practical experience enables us to tailor the best coating for a particular problem.
Silicone elastomer is most often used with high-sugar content products or deep-pan tins/trays. It is also used for Meactherm trays on which French Bread is produced.
Silicone elastomer possesses the best release properties (even better than fluoropolmers!!).
